Biography

Lisa is a dynamic Partner in the Firm’s Commercial practice, focusing on Corporate and Commercial, Compliance, Intellectual Property (IP), and Entertainment Law matters.

Lisa has extensive experience with company incorporations, business registrations, and company compliance. She has worked on several local and cross-jurisdictional corporate financing and acquisitions transactions, valuing over US$100M. Lisa has also provided advice on banking, financial regulatory, securities, and structured finance matters. 

In the IP sphere, Lisa deals with contentious and non-contentious intellectual matters, and has wide-ranging experience with local and international trade mark registrations, recordal of changes, and oppositions. She has worked with IP registrants and agents from all over the world. Lisa also provides advice on copyright issues, including infringement, and manages patent registrations. In the entertainment law space, Lisa has deep knowledge in preparing brand ambassador and influencer contracts, contracts for the provision of entertainment services, and releases. 

Lisa was called to the Jamaican Bar in 2014 and is an active member of both the Commercial and Intellectual Property Law committees of the Jamaican Bar Association.

Lisa is an old girl of St. Andrew High School for Girls and is a graduate of the University of the West Indies, Mona. Lisa is also a graduate of Queen Mary University of London, where she was awarded a Master of Laws degree in Intellectual Property Law in 2016, and where she served, for three years, as an honorary Assistant Editor of the Queen Mary Journal of Intellectual Property.

Lisa is a published author of fictional works and has also written widely on commercial and IP matters. She is an ardent reader, enjoys a witty, well-written series or film, loves travelling, and is a history enthusiast.
